RP (Rust Preventative) Products for
Overseas Shipment, and Storage

Acculube RP products from Castrol and Houghton protect parts (and material) from
corrosion on container ships, or during storage.  They are economical, versatile,
and readily removable. 

Castrol Rustilo DW 924HF water-displacing, solvent based rust preventative and forming oil – general purpose
dewatering fluid for the protection of cold rolled steel shipments, and the rust proofing of wet metal parts.  Thin,
dry film prevents water stains and white rust.  Provides the corrosion protection and lubricity needed for light forming. 
Non-skid film promotes worker safety.

Castrol Rustilo 4135HF solvent dispersed dewatering corrosion preventative forms a protective film that delivers
up to a year of indoor protection.  Ideal where long-term indoor humidity protection is needed; also protects against
acidic environments  Use for ferrous or nonferrous parts.

Castrol Rustilo DW 4130 is a soft film, solvent-deposited temporary corrosion preventative and dewatering fluid for
excellent long-term indoor protection.  Ideal for components exposed to water-containing machines and grinding coolants,
cleaners on rinses or parts stored in high-humidity environments. 

Castrol Rustilo 4137 water displacing solvent-based rust preventive for steel tubing inhibits corrosion for up to a year
under normal conditions.  Film is non-oily and non-tacky, so it doesn’t interfere with parts inspection.  Easily removed
with mild alkaline. 

Castrol Safety Film 639 is a water-based, wax emulsion that dries quickly to a tack-free, satin film.  Excellent adhesion
and durability; exceptional corrosion protection.  This superior dry film lubricant is nonflammable, easily diluted with water,
and easy to remove with alkaline cleaner. 

Castrol Safety Film 614 is a water-based, wax emulsion used as a dry film lubricant and corrosion preventive. 
Ideal for weatherproofing military applications; nonflammable.

Castrol TARP BFX is a barium-free, oil-dispersed thixotropic, all purpose rust preventative. Outstanding humidity
and salt atmosphere protection with indoor storage; store parts up to two years outdoors, if covered.  Protects ferrous
and nonferrous parts stored near acidic environments; ideal for protecting painted or unpainted parts during
overseas shipment. 

Houghton Rust Veto 377 HF lifts water from wet metal, prevents rust with a very thin film. A single gallon covers 1300 sq. ft;
won’t wipe off with handling. Contains antioxidant; resists breakdown and varnish formation, even with long-term storage.

Houghton Rust Veto 76 MB provides long-term protection for bearings and other precision machined steel components.
Leaves an oily film when dried; good water separating and displacement characteristics. Apply following the use of
synthetic coolants and cleaners.
