The Plastic Injection Molding Industry faces several challenges in

Mobil DTEs are premium performance hydraulic fluids designed for plastic injection molding and other applications
where long lubricant life is important. Mobil DTE hydraulic fluids are formulated from highly refined base stocks;
an additive system provides exceptional chemical and thermal stability, rapid and complete separation from water,
and high resistance to emulsification.
Mobil DTE hydraulic fluids provide excellent protection against rust and corrosion, and good antiwear properties.
Their high viscosity index ensures minimum variation of film thickness with temperature, and minimum power loss
during equipment ramp-up. These hydraulic fluids have excellent air release properties, which allow entrained air to
separate, thus preventing pump cavitation and erratic operation. They have a 3-year performance guarantee.
Petro-Canada Hydrex AW-46 is one of only a few hydraulic oils for plastic injection molding that is 99.9% pure.
It is helpful in eliminating downtime due to clogged valves, and in minimizing sludge accumulation in the reservoir that
can shorten filter life. It also decreases varnish build-up that can interfere with servo and directional valve operation.
Hydrex AW-46 has excellent water separability and hydrolytic stability, which allows oil to be reused. Improved foam
and air entrainment performance eliminates “sponginess” from hydraulic systems and prevents pump cavitation.
Hydrex AW provides excellent rust and corrosion protection. Hydrex AW-46 hydraulic fluids are highly recommended
for heavy-service applications and can be used with filters down to 3 microns without loss of additives or filter plugging.
